4th IOC Project Review on Pyeongchang Under Way

An International Olympic Committee delegation has begun the fourth project review on preparations for the 2018 Pyeognchang Winter Olympic Games in Gangneung, Gangwon Province.

The project review will be an occasion for Pyeongchang to inspect its preparations and receive the IOC’s advice to make sure the 2018 winter Olympic Games are a success.

On Thursday, the IOC delegation and the Pyeognchang organizing committee will tour match venues and facilities to check on construction progress.

On Friday, the organizing committee will brief the IOC about its preparations in other fields like personnel management, governance accommodations and transportation.

Some 50 officials, including Pyeongchang Organizing Committee Chairman Cho Yang-ho and Chairwoman Gunilla Lindberg of the IOC Coordination Commission for the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, are participating in the fourth project review.
