"S. Korea Must End Joint Drills before Dialogue"

North Korea reiterated that South Korea should end its joint military drills with the U.S. in order to hold inter-Korean dialogue.

North Korea's Rodong Sinmun said if the South genuinely hopes to have a dialogue and improve relations with Pyongyang, it should show its sincerity by completely halting the joint military drills.

The newspaper said the North cannot allow the South to continue to practice for a war, saying it will heighten distrust and hostility between the two Koreas and also raise the risk of a nuclear war.

It emphasized that improvement of the inter-Korean relations fully depends on Seoul's attitude.
