S. Korea Defeats Australia in AFC Asian Cup, Finishes Top of Group A

South Korea defeated Australia in the AFC Asian Cup, Asia's biggest football tournament, claiming its third consecutive victory and finishing at the top of Group A.
 
South Korea is aiming to take the Asian Cup for the first time in 55 years.
 
The South Korean men’s football team, led by coach Uli Stielike, defeated the Australian team 1:0 in Brisbane, Australia, thanks to Lee Jung-hyup's goal at the 32 minute mark of the first half of the game.
 
South Korea, which finished at the top of Group A by winning all three matches, had previously secured a spot in the quarterfinals prior to their match against Australia.
 
For its quarterfinals match on January 22 in Melbourne, the South Korean squad will compete against the team that will take second place in Group B.
 
The South Korean football team will travel to Melbourne Sunday afternoon.
