S. Korean Men's Bowlers Win Gold in Trio at Asian Champions

The South Korean men’s bowling team won a gold medal in the trio event at the 23rd Asian Tenpin Bowling Championships in Bangkok on Thursday.
 
The Korean trio - Park Jong-woo, Shin Seung-hyeon, and Hong Hae-sol - scored four-thousand-254 points in total, beating runner-up China, who finished with three-thousand-938 points.
 
It is the second consecutive gold medal win for South Korea in the men’s trio event since its victory in 2012.
 
For Park, it is his second gold medal in Bangkok after winning the men’s double event with his teammate Choi Bok-eum.
 
The South Korean women’s team added a silver medal and a bronze medal in the trio event on Thursday.
 
South Korea is leading the medal standings with two gold, three silver and three bronze.
