Asian Cup 2015: S. Korea Faces Iraq in Semi-finals

South Korea will face Iraq in the semi-finals of the 2015 Asian Cup after Iraq claimed a stellar victory against Iran on Friday.

In the match held in Canberra, Australia, Iraq and Iran finished level with one score each at the end of normal time. The score was three to three after extra time, which led the two teams to penalties where Iraq won seven to six.

The South Korean team will face off against Iraq on January 26 at 6 p.m. local time in Sydney.

This will be South Korea's second attempt at a victory against Iraq in the Asian Cup semi-finals after a match in 2007, where South Korea lost.

The United Arab Emirates will be playing against host Australia in the semi-finals after kicking four-time champion Japan out of the tournament in a massive upset on Friday.
