The Defense Ministry said Wednesday it will soon send a delegation to the U.S. war command post in Kuwait to discuss the timing and placement of South Korean troops joining the military campaign against Iraq.

An official said the delegation will be of only a few members and it will be sent as soon as possible.

He added that its task is to consult on when and where the troops will be dispatched to and their specific responsibilities.
