N. Korea: No Negotiations with US

North Korea’s powerful National Defense Commission announced that it has no intention of engaging in dialogue with the United States.

The commission revealed the position in a statement Wednesday, strongly denouncing recent remarks by U.S. President Barack Obama that the North is bound to collapse.

The commission said it has no choice but to officially inform the Obama administration that it doesn't have “the need or willingness to sit at the negotiating table with the U.S.”

The commission added that with Washington’s hostility toward the North growing stronger, the North’s military would boost its response to crush any threats.

The commission’s statement comes after North Korean media reported on Saturday about Kim Jong-un's comments that he would no longer be willing to sit down face to face with what he called rabid barking dogs wanting to topple the North's socialist system.
