Shim Suk-hee Wins Gold in 1500m Event at ISU World Cup

South Korea’s Shim Suk-hee won the second ladies 15-hundred meter event of the International Skating Union (ISU) World Cup in Dresden, Germany on Sunday.
 
Shim finished ahead of her teammate Kim A-lang to grab the gold medal. The last time Shim won a gold medal in the ISU World Cup was last November in the women’s one-thousand-meter event.
 
On the men's side, Han Seung-soo grabbed the silver medal in the second 15-hundred meter event and Kwak Yoon-gy won the bronze medal in the 500-meter event.
 
South Korea finished fourth in the men’s relay while the women’s team failed to secure a berth in the relay finals.
