As of Monday, there are exactly three years left until the Pyeongchang 2018 Olympic Winter Games.
 
The games’ organizing committee will mark the occasion by holding a “mini opening ceremony” at the Olympic Park in Hoenggye where the winter games’ opening and closing ceremonies will take place.
 
The committee will hold other events to mark the occasion including a torch relay between the Alpine Ski Jumping Center and the Olympic Park, an opening address by the organizing committee’s chief, Cho Yang-ho and a time capsule event.
 
The Pyeongchang 2018 Olympic Winter Games will open on February ninth, 2018 for a 17-day run. It will be the third winter games to be held in East Asia after the Sapporo 1972 Winter Olympic Games and the Nagano 1998 games.
