N. Korea Minister to Attend UN Session in Switzerland

North Korea has sent a delegation to attend a session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Switzerland.

The North’s official Korean Central News Agency said Saturday that the delegation led by Foreign Minister Ri Su-yong left Pyongyang to attend the 28th session scheduled for March.

The UN Human Rights Council plans to seek a new resolution on the North’s human rights conditions during a plenary session set for March 23.

The North said that it would declare all the promises it has made to the international community concerning its human rights issue as invalid. Pyongyang added it is also preparing against any new resolution the UN Human Rights Council is seeking.
