Civic Group to Send DVDs of "The Interview" to N. Korea

A South Korean civic group plans to fly balloons carrying DVDs of the controversial film “The Interview” across North Korea around March 26, the fifth anniversary of the sinking of the South Korean warship, the Cheonan.

Park Sang-hak, president of the civic group Fighters for Free North Korea, said Sunday that the launch of the DVDs will be held around the 26th with the exact date to be decided according to weather conditions.

Park said that his group will fly balloons carrying about four thousand to five thousand DVDs along with 500-thousand anti-Pyongyang leaflets.

He added that a United States human rights group, which planned a leaflet launch using drones, will not participate in the planned launch.
