S. Korea to Take Measures on Leaflet Campaign Involving Drones

The government says it will take measures on anti-North Korea leaflet campaigns that use unmanned aerial vehicles.

A Unification Ministry official told reporters on Tuesday that the act of launching anti-Pyongyang leaflets using drones is in violation of existing laws, including the aerial law.

The official added that the government will deal with the leaflet campaign involving drones in accordance with the law after consulting with related ministries.

Regarding a civic group’s balloon leaflet launch set for March 26, the official said that the government has no plans to hold meetings or make contact with the group to discourage the campaign.
