Baghdad Falls to U.S. Forces

The entire area of Baghdad is under U.S. control. The U.S. Central Command says the government of Saddam Hussein has lost control over Baghdad after U.S. forces advanced into the center of the capital. U.S. tanks drove unhindered into public squares on the eastern bank of the Tigris River for the first time.
