For the first time in the nation, a scholastic institute has published a dictionary of historical terms.
 
The Seoul National University Institute of Historical Research said Friday that the project to compile the dictionary of historical terminology was competed nine years after the launch in 2006 and was funded by the National Research Foundation of Korea.
 
About 300 domestic historians participated in the compilation of the dictionary, which classifies and organizes historical terms and concepts and allows users to compare terms used in Korean, Eastern and Western histories.
