Libraries to Run Special Programs for Multicultural Families

More than a hundred libraries across the nation will support cultural and educational programs for multicultural families.
 
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism said 125 libraries will run special nighttime or weekend programs for members of multicultural families from April through December.
 
The Lee Jin-ah Memorial Library in Seodaemun District in Seoul will operate a program for female marriage immigrants to be trained as guides who can introduce their cultures in South Korea.
 
At the Soobong Library in Incheon, children from multicultural families can learn Korean language and history from undergraduate volunteers.
 
The South Jeolla Provincial Library will host a storytelling program and special lectures for multicultural children and their parents.
 
The ministry will also run multicultural information centers at Amsa Library in Seoul, Sorae Library in Incheon and the Mungyeong City Library in North Gyeongsang Province.
