N. Korean Heavyweight to Attend Conference in Indonesia

The head of the North Korean parliament will reportedly attend the Asia Africa Conference, which is scheduled to start in Indonesia on April 18.
 
The Jakarta Post said Thursday that a senior official of the Indonesian Foreign Ministry confirmed that Kim Yong-nam, the chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly of North Korea, will represent North Korea at the conference.
 
The paper said the ministry’s director for Asia Pacific and Africa Cooperation, received written notification informing the attendance of a North Korean representative.
 
The weeklong conference in Indonesia will run through April 24.
