The government has approved a visit by a four-member North Korean delegation that will take part in a preliminary meeting for the Gwangju Summer Universiade.
 
Unification Ministry Spokesman Lim Byung-cheol made the confirmation during a news briefing on Wednesday.
 
Lim said the North’s delegation will arrive at Incheon International Airport on Friday and participate in the preliminary meeting and a drawing for the summer sports event before heading back home next Tuesday.
 
The spokesman said the government will closely cooperate with related agencies so that the preliminary meeting is carried out smoothly.
