Defector Group Sent Leaflets Wednesday Night

A North Korean defectors' group is said to have flown balloons carrying anti-Pyongyang leaflets and copies of the movie "The Interview" across the border Wednesday night.

President Park Sang-hak of the civic group Fighters for a Free North Korea told KBS that his group sent 300-thousand leaflets, five-thousand DVDs and another five-thousand USBs containing the movie via balloons from Gimpo, Gyeonggi Province.

The group was blocked by police on April 9th when it attempted to launch balloons in Paju, Gyeonggi Province near the Military Demarcation Line together with officials of the U.S. Human Rights Foundation.

Earlier on the 4th, another North Korean defectors group flew leaflets and several thousand copies of the movie "The Interview" across the border.

"The Interview " is a Hollywood comedy about a fictitious plot to kill the North Korean leader.
