The unification minister has said that re-linking the severed inter-Korean railway would be the first step of the government’s “Eurasia Initiative.”
 
Minister Hong Yong-pyo made the remarks in Seoul on Wednesday at a forum on Eurasia transportation and energy projects. Hong said inter-Korean railways will connect the people and cultures of the two Koreas, and go further to link the people in neighboring nations.
 
The minister expressed high hopes for the tri-state Rajin-Khasan logistics project, saying it will play a meaningful role in connecting the Korean Peninsula and Eurasia.
