FIFA Women's World Cup Roster Unveiled

Ji So-yun and Park Eun-sun have been selected among the players who will represent South Korea in the FIFA Women's World Cup that will open in Canada in June.

Yoon Deok-yeo, the head coach of the women’s national soccer team, unveiled the preliminary 26-player roster in Seoul on Thursday.

Ji has scored 38 goals in 74 international matches while Park is considered to be a powerful striker. Also included on the list was Yeo Min-ji who played a pivotal role in South Korea winning the 2010 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup.

Yoon said he picked three additional players after taking into account that some players are injured.

The national women’s soccer team will convene on May 8 and train in the nation until May 15. The team will then leave for the U.S. on May 20 for overseas training.
