N. Korea to Support Women Activists Cross DMZ

North Korea will support a group of women activists who plan to cross the demilitarized zone between the two Koreas.

The North's official Korean Central News Agency said Saturday that the WomenCrossDMZ Peace Walk 2015 will be held in the North this month. A preparatory committee has been formed in Pyongyang to work towards holding a successful march.

Members of the campaign, including U.S. activist Gloria Steinem, plan to walk across the heavily fortified inter-Korean border on May 24 from North Korea to the South.
