More than ten thousand South Korean citizens will sing together, praying for reunification of the two Koreas on Liberation Day, August 15.

The organizing committee of the event held a news conference on Tuesday in downtown Seoul to announce the launching of the project.

Ten thousand citizens and a professional choir of one-thousand-945 members will sing “Our Wish” at 8:15 p.m. on August 15 to mark the 70th anniversary of Korea’s division into South and North.

Committee chief Hwang Ui-jung said that the project was organized to address peace and reunification through music in the divided country.

The performance will be aired live on electronic display boards and the Internet.
