N. Korea Again Denounces S. Korea for Unveiling Hyon's Execution

North Korea denounced South Korea for a second day on Monday for the South’s announcement of the execution of Hyon Yong-chol, the chief of North Korea's People's Armed Forces.

According to the North’s state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), a spokesman for a North Korean organization of allied workers criticized in a statement South Korea's National Intelligence Service for unveiling intelligence about Hyon’s execution.

The spokesman added such a move has enraged the North. He then spoke ill of President Park Geun-hye.

However, the spokesman neither denied nor confirmed Hyon’s execution just as the North's main propaganda Web site Uriminzokkiri had done a day earlier.

On Sunday, the Web site threatened that Pyongyang will use force against the South unless Seoul halts attempts to insult the North’s highest dignity. The site criticized South Korea for staging a war of public opinion by saying that Pyongyang is using "reign of terror" or "politics of purge."

In response to the threats, Unification Ministry Spokesman Lim Byeong-cheol in Seoul strongly condemned the North for personally attacking the South’s leader and urged the North to cease its absurd slandering.
