Suspended Swimmer Park Tae-hwan to Resume Training Next Month

South Korean swimmer Park Tae-hwan will resume training next month with his former coach Noh Min-sang.

The Korea Sports Promotion Foundation said Wednesday that Park, who was suspended for 18 months for violating doping regulations, will start training from June 1 at the Olympic Swimming Pool in southern Seoul.

Swimmers receiving punishment for anti-doping rule violations are prohibited from using public swimming pools, but Park will use the Olympic Swimming Pool as a general member of the facility along with other students of Noh’s swimming classes.

The Korea Sports Promotion Foundation, which operates the swimming pool, said that it has secured consent from parents of all students of Noh’s swimming classes regarding Park’s training.
