Korean Air said Thursday it will resume its services to the Middle East from next Friday following an actual end to the war in Iraq.

The move is to help domestic builders and plant exporters take part in postwar restoration projects in Iraq, the company explained.

On the route linking Incheon, Dubai and and Cairo, the national flag carrier will resume flights between Incheon and Dubai first from next Friday, and will decide whether to normalize the route to Cairo soon.

The bigger of the two domestic airlines will resume its twice weekly flights between Incheon and Rome from next Sunday and will increase the number of flights to Zurich from two to three per week from June 1.
