The Korean Olympic Committee has recommended Moon Dae-sung, a member of the International Olympic Committee, as a candidate for chairperson of the Olympic Council of Asia's Athletes Committee.

The Olympic Council of Asia will elect its four-year term chairman and chairs of its 12 subcommittees, including the Athletes Committee, during its two-day General Assembly starting on September 7 in Turkmenistan.

The council's Athletes Committee is a panel dedicated to studies on improving athletic performance and securing benefits for Asian players.
