N. Korean Propaganda Web Sites Crippled for a Week

North Korean propaganda Web sites hosted on Chinese servers have been seeing continuous connection glitches for a week.

Uriminzokkiri, the North’s propaganda Web site aimed at South Koreans, and other propaganda sites, including DPRK Today, have been crippled since last Thursday.

Meanwhile, North Korean Web sites that use the North’s official dot-k-p domain, including the Rodong Sinmun and the Korean Central News Agency, are functioning normally.

A Unification Ministry official in Seoul said the ministry is looking into what might be causing the connection glitches, adding that it has yet to come up with a clear origin.

Last December, domestic North Korean Web sites came under a cyber-attack, suffering outages for nearly ten days.
