Rhythmic gymnast Son Yeon-jae has won two gold medals in the final matches of the hoop and ball events at the Rhythmic Gymnastics Asian Championships under way in South Korea.

In the championship's third day on Friday, she scored 18-point-150 points in the hoop final and beat Anastasiya Serdyukova of Uzbekistan.

The 21-year-old gymnast added another gold in the ball final with a score of 17-point-850 as well as a bronze medal in ribbon.

The multiple medals have brightened prospects of Son clinching her consecutive overall title at the Asian Championships on Saturday.
