S. Korea Defeats Myanmar 2-0 in World Cup Qualifier

South Korea took down Myanmar in its first game in the second round of Asia's World Cup qualifiers.
 
The Reds, led by Uli Stielike, defeated Myanmar two-nil as midfielder Lee Jae-sung headed in the opening goal in the 35th minute of the first half, while winger Son Heung-min knocked in a free kick in the 22nd minute of the second half in Bangkok on Tuesday.
 
South Korea, with one win, sits atop Group G as it is outpacing Kuwait and Lebanon in goal difference.
 
Team Korea, which is vying for its ninth consecutive World Cup finals, will play at home against Laos on September 3.
