Representatives of nongovernmental organizations in several Asian countries will gather in Seoul Friday to seek ways of pressing Japan to apologize for forcing women into sexual slavery during World War II.

Some 80 members of Korean NGOs concerned with the so-called comfort women issue and over 40 members of NGOs from Japan, the Philippines, Indonesia and several other countries will attend the meeting, the sixth of its kind, at a Seoul hotel.

A representative of a Sri Lankan NGO will deliver a speech to the meeting under the title of "War and Women."
