'Northern Limit Line' Draws More than 2 Million Moviegoers in 8 Days

The film “Northern Limit Line” has drawn more than two million viewers at theaters nationwide in just eight days.

Its distributor NEW said the film drew two-million-658 viewers as of 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, topping the domestic box office for seven straight days following its release.

It is the fastest film to reach the two-million milestone among South Korean movies this year, matching the speed of last year's “Ode to My Father,” which went on to surpass ten-million viewers.

The film depicts the "Second Battle of Yeonpyeong," a naval skirmish between South and North Korea in the Yellow Sea in June 2002 that left six South Korean navy soldiers dead.
