S. Korea Wins First Team Event Gold in Modern Pentathlon World Championships

South Korea has won a gold medal in the men's team event at the International Modern Pentathlon Union (UIPM) World Championships.
 
The South Korean team of Jung Jin-hwa, Lee Woo-jin and Jun Woongtae ranked first on Friday in the men's team event at the UIPM championships in Berlin, Germany. Russia took silver and Poland bronze.
 
This marks the first time Team Korea has won a gold medal in a team event. South Korea won its first world championship medal in modern pentathlon in the men's relay event in Rome in 2012.
