South Korea added four gold medals in shooting and two in Judo at the Gwangju Summer Universiade.
Kim Ji-hye won both team and individual titles in the women’s 25-meter pistol event on Monday at Naju Jeollanamdo Shooting Range in Naju, South Jeolla Province.
In the individual event, Kim defeated Zhou Qing Yuan of China 7-5.
Kim has become the first double gold medalist for Team Korea as she won the gold in the team event as well along with Cho Mun-hyeon and Han Ji-young.
In men’s shooting, Park Dae-hun won both team and individual titles in the 50-meter pistol event. In the individual event, Park scored 193-point-two points, beating Rinat Aiupov of Russia.
In judo, An Baul won a gold medal in the men’s 66 kilo event. An Chang-rim added gold in the men's under 73 kilo event.
In the women’s synchronized 10 meter platform final, Ko Eun-ji and Moon Na-yun picked up a silver medal with 281-point-88 points.
With the newly added gold medals, South Korea is leading the medal tally as of Monday evening with 10 gold, 7 silver and 7 bronze medals. China is tailing behind with 8 gold, 6 silver and 5 bronze.
