Job seekers will have a better chance of employment as major industries are reviving recruitment plans shelved in the run-up to the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq.

Hyundai Motor and its affiliate Kia Motors plan to employ two hundred entry-level workers and three hundred experienced workers by the end of this month. This is in addition to the four hundred to be recruited within the first half of this year.

GM Daewoo Automobile & Technology, which has already employed about two hundred new workers, plans to hire between five and seven hundred workers in the second half of this year.

Samsung Heavy Industries plans to employ three hundred workers in the first half of this year, up 30 percent from the same period last year.
