Names of US Soldiers Killed in Korean War to be Called out

The names of more than 36-thousand U.S. soldiers killed during the Korean War will be called out next week in a ceremony in Washington D.C.

The Korean War Veterans Memorial Foundation said on Thursday that the names of the fallen troops will be called out at the Korean War Veterans Memorial in Washington from July 25 to 27, marking the 62nd anniversary of the war’s end.

The Korean organization said that about 30 people, including military attaches at the South Korean Embassy in the U.S., will take turns reading out 90 names for three minutes each.

It also plans to release the number of deaths and casualties of U.S. soldiers, the Allied Forces and South Korean soldiers as well.
