S. Korea Bags 6 Golds at Archery Worlds in Denmark

South Korea has proven to be a dominant force in archery by winning six out of ten gold medals at the 2015 World Archery Championships in Copenhagen.

In the final day recurve competitions on Sunday, South Korea collected two gold in the men’s individual and team finals.

The country also won gold in the women’s individual recurve final on Sunday. Ki Bo-bae, a double gold medalist at the 2012 London Olympics, beat Taiwan’s Lin Shih-chia 7 to 3. The team added another gold from the mixed recurve event on the same day.

South Korea won four out of the five gold medals up for grabs at the recurve events, while raking in two gold in the compound events. The country also bagged three bronze medals.

It is the best ever result South Korea has brought home from the World Archery Championships.
