S. Korea Draws with Japan 1-1 in Men's East Asian Cup

The South Korean men's national football team was held to a 1-1 draw with Japan during the East Asian Cup in China on Wednesday.
 
Jang Hyun-soo opened the scoring for with a penalty shot in the 27th minute at Wuhan Sports Center Stadium, but Japan’s Hotaru Yamaguchi scored the equalizer 12 minutes later.
 
South Korea will play its final match of the Cup against North Korea on Sunday.
 
The team, led by head coach Uli Stielike, is leading the competition with four points, including three points from a 2-0 victory over China on Sunday. 
 
China and North Korea each have three points, while Japan has just one point. The team with the most points from the competition will win the title.
