Key N. Korean Web Sites Go Dark

North Korean Web sites that use the North’s official dot-k-p domain have gone dark.

The Rodong Sinmun and the Korean Central News Agency are among the sites that went down, while other propaganda sites, including Uriminzokkiri, are functioning normally.

It has yet to be confirmed what disabled the sites’ functionality.

In early June, North Korean propaganda Web sites hosted on Chinese servers were crippled for a week while sites that use the dot-k-p domain saw regular activity.
