Korean Chinese living in South Korea will hold a large-scale cultural event in Seoul next month to mark the 70th anniversary of Korea’s liberation from Japan’s colonial occupation.

An association of Korean Chinese living in South Korea unveiled on Monday that the cultural event will open at the Eunpyeong Culture and Arts Center in Seoul on September 6.

The association, which was founded in 2000, has been organizing the event around the Chuseok holidays every year.

In this year’s event, some 70 Korean Chinese will take part in 17 programs, including choir, dance performance, and a show of Korea’s traditional percussion music, Samulnori.
