S. Korea to Open Korean Culinary Courses in China, Vietnam

South Korea will open Korean culinary courses in China and Vietnam.

In collaboration with the Korea Agro-Fisheries and Food Trade Corporation, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs said Tuesday that a ten-week Korean cuisine course will launch in Yanbian University in China and Hanoi Tourism College in Vietnam.

As a regular three credit course, the program will consist of lectures on Korean culinary theories and cooking classes.

After completing the course, students will be able to work as cooks at local Korean restaurants.

The ministry explained that the culinary course will help further promote Korean cuisine overseas.
