A bridge linking the southeastern Namhae Island and Sacheon City has been opened for service. The transportation link stretching three-point-four kilometers is made up of seven separate cable-stayed bridges. The bridge will shorten travel time between the third biggest island in Korea and the south coast city which used to take two hours to just five minutes. Construction started in 19-94.
