The South Korean animated series, “Pororo the Little Penguin” will air on Brazil’s public television network, TV Cultura, on weekdays starting from October 5.
 
A ceremony was held in São Paulo at the headquarters of the TV Cultura on Monday to mark the airing of the series.
 
Among those present at the event were South Korea’s Consul General to São Paulo Hong Young-jong, chairman of the Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Brazil Choi Tae-hoon and TV Cultura President Marcos Mendonça.
 
Pororo is expected to grow in popularity in Brazil as it will be televised for two years and at hours when children most watch TV.
 
Since it began production in 2003, “Pororo the Little Penguin” has been televised in some 130 countries.
