Some three-hundred South Korean soldiers are on their way to Iraq to assist the reconstruction and relief efforts in the war-torn country. The soldiers, made up of engineers and medics, are the first batch of a total of about 700 non-combat troops South Korea committed. The first group will first stay in Kuwait and then leave for Iraq early next month. A 20-member advance team is already in the region. The second contingent will leave on May 14th.
