S. Korea Grabs 6th Straight Win at Asian Women's Youth Handball Championship

South Korea's handball team has won its sixth straight title at the Asian Women's Youth Championship this year.

In the final match held in New Delhi, India, on the tournament's last day on Thursday, South Korea beat Japan, 27 to 22.

South Korea has been the sole winner of the biennial Asian Women's Youth Championship since the competition launched in 2005.

Kim Ah-yeong who scored seven goals in the finals was named the most valuable player (MVP) while Park Jo-eun also clinched the best goalkeeper honor.

Seven teams competed for the title in the tournament that lasted from August 27 to September 3.
