Team Korea leaves for Lebanon for World Cup Qualifier

The national football team led by coach Uli Stielike has left for Lebanon to hold a qualifier with the Middle Eastern nation for the 2018 Russian World Cup.  
 
The Group G match between 57th-ranked Korea and 133rd-ranked Lebanon will begin at 11 p.m. Tuesday Korean time in the Lebanese city of Sidon.
 
Team Korea has so far scored two wins in the regional qualification stage including the latest 8 to nil landslide victory over Laos. 
 
Striker Son Heung-min, who scored a hat trick in the Laos match, is not joining other team members to Lebanon due to matters related to his transfer to Tottenham Hotspur of the English Premier League.
 
Koo Ja-cheol and Park Joo-ho who are both playing in the German Bundesliga will join the Korean team in Lebanon.
 
Korea has recorded seven wins, one loss and two draws against Lebanon so far but only managed to score one win in away matches.
