2015 Korea Week events kicked off for a five-day run in Shenyang, China with an opening ceremony held Friday at a school in the city's Koreatown.
 
Marking its 14th year, the Shenyang Korea Week celebration is jointly hosted by the South Korean consulate general and the city of Shenyang located in Liaoning Province.
 
The events are organized by the Korean association in Shenyang. 
 
Events are packed for this year's Korea Week including a forum on the South Korea-China free trade agreement, performances by the contemporary South Korean musical acts Seulgidoong and NEXT and exhibitions of Korean products. 
 
The opening ceremony Friday was attended by 400 guests, 200 each from South Korea and China including Korean Ambassador to Beijing Kim Jang-soo.
