NIH Designates 28 More Hospitals to Treat SARS

With suspected cases of SARS on the rise, the National Institute of Health has designated twenty-eight more quarantine hospitals to treat SARS. As a result, there are a total of forty-one quarantine hospitals in the country. The health institute also increased the number of beds reserved for suspected patients from thirty to some one-hundred-thirty. The institute has added a radiology expert and a preventive medicine doctor to its advisory committee of SARS experts, which now is comprised of 12 members.
