A baby giraffe born at the Seoul Grand Park Zoo will be shown to the public beginning Thursday.
 
The operators of the zoo said Wednesday that the giraffe, named Elsa, has been rehearsing for his public debut for one to two hours a day since early this month.
 
Elsa, a male giraffe, was born July 9 to Zeus, and Hwanhee, a female giraffe who was also born at Seoul Grand Park in 2007.
 
According to the zoo operators, Hwanhee had difficulty giving birth to Elsa and had to be assisted by veterinarians and zookeepers.
