2017 U-20 World Cup Host Cities Announced

Seoul has been excluded from the South Korean cities to host the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

The world governing body of football confirmed on Facebook Thursday that the six hosting cities will be Cheonan, Daejeon, Incheon, Jeju, Jeonju and Suwon.

The other candidate cities, Seoul and Ulsan, were not chosen.

South Korea was awarded the hosting rights for the U-20 World Cup in December 2013. Around one-thousand athletes and officials from 24 countries are expected to participate in the event.
