The 2015 Andong Maskdance Festival kicked off Friday at the Hahoe Folk Village in North Gyeongsang Province.
 
Under the theme “Dream of Clown,” the international festival will run until October 4th in several locations in Andong city.
 
Dance troupes from 12 countries including China, Japan, Russia, Thailand and Malaysia hope to pump up the spirits of visitors.
 
Andong City Mayor Gweon Young-sae said the event featuring the universal culture of masks and masked dancing hopes to delight visitors.
